Caterpillar Count and Community Science Kick Off!

Calling all curious minds! Join us for the Smokey House Center Community Science Kick-Off, an evening of community science at SHC and a few very interesting caterpillars.

The night will begin with an introduction to SHC's growing community science program. We need YOUR help monitoring the wildlife and ecosystems of this landscape, and we'll share how you can get involved in snake counts, bat monitoring, bird recordings, and more.

Then, we'll head outside for a caterpillar count with the incredible team from The Caterpillar Lab—experts in the fascinating world of caterpillars.

Everyone who attends will receive their very own Smokey House Center Community Science Passport and their first official stamp. Collect stamps through future community science events and activities to earn Smokey House Center merch and special experiences, more details at the event!
