Blueberry Basket Workshop

Join Smokey House Center for an afternoon of basket weaving with instructor Kimberly Behrendt. In this workshop, participants will create a Cape Cod Blueberry Basket—a versatile square basket woven using flat reeds and finished with a carved oak handle. The finished basket measures approximately 5” x 5” and 4” deep and is perfect for picking Smokey House Center blueberries!

This class is suitable for all experience levels, including beginners. The workshop will last approximately three hours.

Cost is $40 per person/per basket and light refreshments will be provided. Space is limited, registration is required.

About Kimberly:

Kimberly Behrendt, a basketry instructor based in the Adirondack foothills, loves the creative process of designing baskets. She has been sharing her love of basketry through teaching for the last several years. She finds weaving to be a mediative action that helps challenge people and reconnect them to a primitive ability of using their hands for creativity and functionality. She also love gardening, reading and spending time with her family.
