34 Years of Youth,
Land and Learning
Since 1974, middle and high school
students have come to our 5,000 acre outdoor classroom, to do
farming, forestry, and ecological research -- learning in the
process, science, math, ecology, communications, reading,
writing, problem-solving, critical thinking, responsibility
and teamwork.
We offer two applied-learning programs -- our
Youthwork Program for disadvantaged high school students and our
Environmental Field Studies Program for mainstream middle and
high school students. Students take an active role in
this learning community, working cooperatively and respectfully to
set goals and solve problems.

was featured on Across the Fence,
a
daily farm and home television program made possible by
UVM Extension.
