Smokey House Community Farm
We are building a vibrant farm education center here in Danby. Launched in 2016, the Smokey House Community Farm engages local youth, visiting education groups, and other volunteers to grow food for hunger relief and community programs, while laying the groundwork for additional programs and partnerships. We are growing storage crops (e.g., carrots, beets, onions, potatoes, squash, cabbage, etc.) for fall programming and late season distribution. The Smokey House Community Farm honors our strong reputation for work-based learning in a manner that connects us more directly to a wider audience and to the local community.
Please contact us if you or your group would like to volunteer on our Community Farm.
